Congrats!! It looks quite solid and that original color combo and something done to what resides in the engine compartment could make a very cool cruiser!

A turbo six could be a cool choice, but then it's hard to picture putting all that extra $$ into a six (turbo + everything else needed for forced induction) when you could build up a nice V-8 for around the same cost.

1970 barracuda slant six to 5.7 hemi pro-touring UPDATE 5-1-2013
« Reply #23 on: May 01, 2013 - 12:41:50 PM »
well guys havent really been updating to much on this but have been working on it i sware lol after i started some body work fixing some of the dents and stuff on the doors and fenders bought a stud welder from harbor frieght best 100 bucks ive ever spent haha. in other good news my machine shop called me and said he got a 5.7 from someone and didnt have any use for it soo i picked it up for 800$. my direction is a wild protouring but drivable car thinking along the lines of the same thing as JVIKE   his car is slick. so at the moment im fixing some rust on the driverside part of the roof and then on to the trunk and quarters and tail panel replacment. heres some pics will posy more after this weekend.

peace for now james

Sweet!  That's going to be a nice ride when you're finished!
