Looks good.  I can't understand why people hack the heck out of the four speed humps.  Mine looked as bad if not worse.  As far as the glass comment, he's right.  I made the mistake myself.

got some assembly work done on my engine this weekend.  Foud out the difference between the two water pumps I had is that the -7 is deeper to clear the timing chain cover, so since i only blasted the other one i've gotta now blast the correct one and install it.  Still need to buy plug wires, water pump guts, pcv valve, temp sensor, thermostat, oil pressure sensor, heater hose fittings, coil, and air filter.  After that's done I hope to have the engine together this week and ready for the dyno.

Sweet!   :clapping:  Keep the photos coming!
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Thanks for your support guys!

Got my rear end back today.  Beautiful!  Also got the driveshaft balanced and u-joints installed. Seems like i'm at the point where everthing costs $500.  It's like 500, 500, 500, 500, 500....  :bananasmi

Engine will be dyno'd in the next week or two here and then only the body work and assembly will be left before I can get in & go!

Blasted the car this past wednesday (what a horrible mess!) then changed the inner fender well aprons.  When I removed the drivers side apron I found that the metal piece that mounts to the shock tower only had one (yes, 1!!!) weld holding it to the shock tower, so I cleaned in between, viced it together, and added three more.  The passneger side was fine though.

When I blasted the car I was able to blast the K-member while I was at it.  Now i'm about to rebuild the front suspension/ k member.  Does anyone have a good reference for what finishes to use on all the front suspension parts???  I found the guide on here with the moog part numbers for the bushings, I just don't know what products to use to paint/finish the suspension parts to look factory.

Pre-blasting pic.  Engine's ready for dyno except installing the valve cover bolts/studs.  I got the kit from roseville moparts (continually amazing service btw) and I need to know which bolt holes in the valve covers take the studs and which ones take the  bolts.  Anyone know?

Also, I removed my old 4:10 dana.  I think it's out of a truck or something cause it's got two extra spring perches on the inside.  Anyone looking for a dana?  It's currently in central Iowa and i'm unsure about the functionality of it, but I do know that the old driveshaft was busted in the car, so my guess is the dana works  :roflsmiley:

The four studs go in the lower outward corners of each valve cover.
You need to measure the dana's width. Could very well be an E Body dana worth some good $$$
I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !

thanks for the info!

That Dana measures 55" from inside drum to drum on the back side where they connect to the axle.  The housing says C34155 on it. reading on the back of the right axle I see 4 different sets of numbers that are faint and hard to read.  the first says 369c2, then 363A7, then 12957-6, then 25133x.  I cross referenced with:

http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=73192.0

and

http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=46240.0

didn't come up with much.  I guess the 2957-6 number I found could be 602957-5, -6 that's shown for a 4.10 B-body power lock maybe?

I do know that the leaf springs that came out of the car had shackles that were offset at an angle.  Based on one of the comments about racers using this type of setup this sounds plausible.

Looks great.  Try to shoot some primer on that bare metal.  Just saves you the extra work later to get rid of the flash rust.
