Are you able to finish it for someone interested in buying the car?

Unfortunately no. I don't have anytime to work on it, which is one of the main drivers for selling the car. I have had it for almost 6 years now and have only been able to put about 100 hours into it, granted I have gotten a ton of work done on it during those hours.

Would be a nice car when finished, wish I could do my own work. I love the plum with white combo. Is it a side stripe or bumblebee?

It's a bumblebee stripe. I wish I had the time to finish the car, because like you said it will be a beautiful car.

I'm from redding and my parents still live there, what exactly does it need to get it going? I see it still needs to be put together. I don't know if I am going up there for Christmas but would like to check it out next time I am up there.

Great car and looks like a reasonably priced project.  I feel the wallet tugging at me..If I was a little bit more confident in this economy I would have jumped on it. Plumb crazy, white interior, bumble bee stripe.  :wow:  :ylsuper:

The car needs more than just assembly, it still needs a lot of restoration work. The nice thing about this project is the rust repair/metal replacement has been done. So the remaining work is ordering parts and going through it, which is a lot less daunting of a task then replacing panels.

Pity about the missing engine. If your had the matching motor, you and I would be talking.

Probably the biggest reason it isn't selling. A66's are unique cars, but the thing that makes them unique is the 340. Without that, it's just an empty shell.

While I agree that missing the original engine does hurt the value of the car, I completely disagree that it's just an empty shell. Would you make the same assessment of a factory hemi car that is missing it's original engine? Also the A66 was just the 340, it was a performance package which also included the heavy duty suspension, larger brakes and the buldge hood, which are still in the car. Most of that parts are with this car, most importantly the original dash VIN and fender tag which show this is a factory A66 plum crazy purple, white stripe, white interior, 4 speed car. One can still find a date correct 340 to install in the car or even a warranty block, which was my original intent for this car.

Sold. The car went to a restoration shop that is going to perform an OE restoration on it.

Congrats! Hopefully someone on the board so we can see it when finished.   :woohoo:
