and quality's got a price :P

i just don't want to imagine a pad from roseville shipped to montreal

Look, I know that this is a lot to pay for basicly one part.  I went back and forth debating with myself over whether to buy a cheaper ABS frame or one from Dave with a steal frame.  I thought to myself, the car is not going to be a daily driver, it will not be abused or take a lot of wear.  I really took some time to think this one over.

This is what I came up with.  If you where building this car to sell it or to flip it for profit, then buy the ABS frame one.  If this is for your car, really your car, one that you really care about, buy one from Dave.  Take the time and save up the money.  There are only two ways about it.  You can buy the less expensive one.  You will always be checking and re-checking for warping and regretting your purchase.  Or, you can buy one from Dave and not have regrets.  It's up to you.

Guys, I see a lot of info here. I pulled my dash pad last weekend. It took me a few hours and a few cuts on the arms but got it removed. I also removed the platic dash cap the previous owner put on it. It feels good to touch the factory pad surface. From what I see here, the best would be to get one from Dave at Roseville instead of YO or CI. However, I am still thinking between Roseville vs Just Dashes for refinish using my own frame out of the car. What do you recommend? If I do get one from Dave, do I have to send my old one back? Thanks.

BTW, one guy at Moparts sells the revits for $30 a pair and Cuda Junction sells at $50 a pair. Are they the same? CJ claim theirs are OE.

Do not do JD.  YOu'll be waiting for ever, $$$, and I can spot a JD dash from 30'.  Looks nothing like OEM.

UR is your best bet short of NOS or mint original.

Apparently there's another company too. I think they're called Superior Dashes and are out of Payne, OH.

A friend of mine in Ohio ordered one from them, maybe it'll be at his place when I visit there in April.

I got my VIN plate transfer and rivets from ECS.  It does not look like they still have the rivets but the transfer is still listed.

That is a huge jump in price Dave, is there some justification for it? Thats double the cost over the last group buy price.

I agree with you Bandt, but this is the aftermarket. Manufacturers don't need to justify their prices (so they think). They will just
price themselves out of a market.

was just pointing out that Just Dashes pricing will increase march 1st,  they said that they were losing money on every pad.

UR or My pricing is the same.

I bought 2 sets from RTS RESTORATIONS 815-520-3227  for $60 + ~$6 for priority shipping about 2 months ago.  Maybe the price is going up.

Do the rivets come black, or do you have to paint after installing?
Are the rivets supposed to be black?

At what point do you apply the Chrysler transfer?
