Garage project
« on: November 24, 2012 - 07:20:55 AM »
Garages are never big enough so I`m adding a 18x24 extension off the back of the current 24x 25.Should give me enough room to store all my projects and still be able to work on `em!  :bananasmi

Im envious!  :clapping:
Just wondering why you made it offset to the existing building? Wouldn't it have been cheaper/easier to just extent it?

Setback-the existing garage is at an angle to the side lot line so to keep the 25` I need I had to offset it 3`.

Looks great!  You'll love the extra space.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

That looks like it will be very nice.  Are you going to open the back wall up?

I`ll be moving the garage door on the back to the new extension on the side and may make a slider for the opening so I keep the back area separate for paint work.

If I could afford bigger it would be but after a couple years in an apartment without a garage I`m very happy!

are you going to pour pads for the lift that you will want to buy in 2 years? If you ever thought of getting one now is the time.

Ah gotcha ! Around here they won't let you build that close to the well. Seems to be lots of garage builds around here lately! I'm so wishing I could build one! Never seems to be big enough... or have enough room! :grinno:
Having what I have keeps me to one car.... I guess maybe thats a good thing!
Will it be tall enough for a lift?

Nice way to go, wish I had the room! I will admit limited space @ the house has stopped more than one brilliant idea. I'm sure the new size will inspire new projects!
