Seat problem
« on: November 24, 2012 - 02:41:28 PM »
Well I was excited to get my seats back from the upholster and got the frames powder coated they look nice. So I thought I'd grab my new seat rails from PGclassics and put them on. Easy right? Well not really, for one I had to modify each and every hole to make the holes line up from the frame to the rails. Some where too high and some were far too left to even finish putting the bolt in.

Can someone tell me how you get the washers on the spacers at the end of the video? I'd rather not take a hammer and slam them down the threads.

Needless to say this might be a problem:

ughhh I wish something would go smoothly sometime soon...

OMFG I just realized they gave me seat rails for the drivers side of a B-body car. No wonder they were so much higher than the passenger.

Oh the humanity, email sent into PGclassics.

Well that just settles it then!.... your  just gonna have to buy a B-Body to go with your seat bracket! :roflsmiley:

With those washers... just use a long socket to tap them on with.

I don't like PG Classics.
Horrible customer service, gross you on shipping and send slow.

Here's another rant, although I did not buy the spacers from PGclassics.

I was told you don't need them as they make the seat sit higher (bad for tall folks like me), now I don't like vendors who sell you something just to sell you something. Even after you tell them its for an ebody and your setup they still sell it to ya.

Anyone want to buy some brand new seat spacers, I hear they are more geared towards B-bodies. So Brad maybe I will have to guy buy one.

Mine had a few missing so I turned some up out of aluminum with threads  so they would stay on when installing them. Were they optional on e-bodies or did they all get the spacers?  :dunno:

I hear they were optional and most folks leave them out due to hitting the steering wheel with their legs.

What do you think Brad 1969-70 Road runner?

You know I blame you for starting to look at them now.....

So now today I find out they need to throw a little bit more salt on the wound.

I need to pay to return the item that they erroneously put in my order. So they can see it and then determine if I get any credit on the shipping.

I wonder how many more reasons I'll need to go back to them..... :horse:
