Wow, those are very nice! My father was a carpenter. Someone gave him a pool table slate, and when they tore down Fort McPherson (an old Indian/Army fort) here in NE, he went and got a bunch of the cedar and milled it and made the table tops, sides, and legs. I asked him if I could have it when I bought a house in 2000 that had room for it, and he died shortly thereafter. It's the old type of cedar that has the gnarled looks of your boxes. I hope it will be a treasured family heirloom for years to come. You have a talent that can't be bought from any store! Those boxes are beautiful. Have you considered making Hope Chests? I know they are outdated by todays standards, but your heirs would be sure to treasure them. I have a Hope Chest that my father made out of cedar while he was in high school, that I need to restore (ha ha, sand and renew mostly) It would be something very cool that your family can pass down for a long time. Cedar lasts a long time, is bug free, and everyone needs extra storage. Keep up the good work!
