A few years ago I bought a couple of "Hemi Dogs" from them. Got a nice cover letter thanking me and such. I gave one to one of my nephews. I'm sure it got tossed or sold at a garage sale. I still have the other "shaker" hemi dog under my monitor on my computer desk. I think I paid $15 bux apiece or something. They go for like $100 bux now. Wish I would have bought a bunch of them. They are cool. They look like a dog running, with side pipes coming out of him. He has sunglasses on. He has a Hemi engine mounted on his back, and the shaker scoop assymbly is the wobbly head doll part of him. It is SO freaking neat. The box he came in looks like a cage, with eyes peering out. The whole thing was cool as hell. You guys missed out. But, there is ebay. search for Hemi Dog. You won't find mine for any price., lol.

Article says it will still be there and intact, but just open on special occasions. So not all bad.   :2thumbs:

Friends,
There is nothing that can be done to save the museum and keep it open to the public. Not unless there is a very, very wealthy angel investor of course...hahaha
From what I understand, the number of visitors were well under what they should be for a museum open to the public. The museum tried for years to generate numbers. Summertime provided great opportunities, but as soon as the weather goes south, so did the visitors.
Let me be clear, this is not someone's error.
There is a museum store still stocked with goods and collectibles.
You may find a great opportunity to pick up some very limited treasures at a discount. :)

This is very sad, I had the privilege a couple of years ago to go through and see it, because I was the only visitor they let me under their watchful eyes venture around a bit more. Places like this are usually sponsored by the parent company  to keep interest up, but of course fiat don't care about Chrysler, they will do what Mercedes did and rape the company.    :banghead:
