Brad, what did they want for shipping via USPS, if you don't mind me asking? It's coming to your place in Barrie?

No Chris knows that anything to Canada goes via USPS and NOT, UPS or any of the others....  :2thumbs:

Go figure.  I just got my XV braces welded in last month, and I am about ready to paint my engine compartment.  Then a superior product at a cheaper cost comes out with more tire clearance for a lowered front end.  Now I wonder if I should cut them off and put these US cartool ones on just to make sure the tires will clear, before I paint.  ????

I know what I would do, especially at the point your car is at...... :sadwavey:
More clearance gives you more tire options down the road?

Yup.. I would myself.  And if my car was finished I would seriously consider on doing it too. The benefits outweigh the disadvantages

:iagree:   I agree with Brad, you also have to look at the big picture, what the factory did was a quick fix for a shoddy body integrity problem using that thin sheetmetal brace they had. Using the curved steel tube like the XV  works but triangulating the cowl and the inner fender is much stronger. This is also why I didnt use any curved down bars on my roll Cage . For the low price US Car tool has on these braces, its a no brainer ,not even worth making yourself IMO.

Well, after long sleepless nights I went ahead and ordered the braces.  :2thumbs: Would have been
alot easier if I hadn't just painted the engine compartment just 3 days before seeing these.   :banghead:
If I cant fix it, it's broke

I ordered mine yesterday.  Looks like I am going to cut out my XV braces today.  It just feels wrong to go backwards on a project, but I know it will be better in the long run.

What modifications are needed to the plastic rear inner fender shields?  Trim the plastic to fit?
