Tried welding mine in today. Typical grind to fit, but they don't have any directions or
pictures to show where exactly where they want the small pieces welded in. Anybody this far yet?
If I cant fix it, it's broke

Went to the site and watched the slideshow. Much more informative. Also, cudo's to Chris for responding so promptly
to my inquiry on a Saturday night. Says alot about US Cartool.

Also, I recommend anyone installing this kit watch the slideshow first. The small pieces get welded in first.  :banghead:
I didn't know that yet. Oops!

Started fresh on the passenger side using the video clips as a guide. Things fit much better this way.

Thanks guys, We really do try very hard to please everyone. We are going to come out with an installation video for these in the near future. Post up some pics if you get a chance, would love to see what they look like on your cars!

Chris - please address the plastic rear inner fender shields.  I assume these get trimmed to fit?

Hi,

Here are some pics of the trimming needed to the factory inner fender splash sheilds. This is guideline, being that every application might be slightly different.

The pics i posted here are also available on our website.

I showed this information to an auto fabricator locally.  He everything you can imagine.  He advised that these aren't needed on a torsion bar car since the suspension load is not an issue in that area of our cars.  Maybe if you put in a coil suspension?

Put a floor jack under the torsion bar cross member and measure how far the front end sags when you jack it up.....  :scared::grinyes: It's not so much the torsion suspension load that's causing the flex, It's the unibody design that causes the flex.

If you had a shell with no drivetrain I think it would be ok to weld it in as is.

Are you guys welding these in place with the weight on the tires? I imagine that's Ideal. When I start on mine I'm going to do the subfloor braces with the weight on the tires also. Just on blocks
