Hello there Mopar fans
Well looks like the car was up for auction in Chicago at Mecum
highest bid was $200,000.00
But the owner is not selling for that price
He has a reserve on it
it may be going to Barrett Jackson in January
so keep you eyes peeled
The car will be published in Mopar Collector's Guide in the next upcoming issue

Wow $200K and he didn't take it.....Guy might regret that....Unless the market is a lot stronger then it appears, I don't see a 70 Challenger pulling much more then that.

I wonder what the restorers did about the rotted out transmission case :dunno:

Hi Allan
There was a Challenger that sold on Auction a month before for
in Texas for $250K
so i know he wants more that that for it.
As for the transmission he took it to a guy who did an amazing fix on that hole
You would never know by looking at the repair .

$250K  WOW.....Why would it be trading hands so much I wonder...

Be interesting to see how the tranny was fix, it certainly was a unique problem, I've never seen that one before.

Car looks great now, I only wish I had the money when it came up for sale. :pullinghair:

Nice to see that high end Mopars are still bringing in good money. This is actually very healthy for our hobby.

Extremely good news  :iagree: I find it surprising too, with the quality of this particular car not being 100% correct.

Required tons of metal work and rebuilding a Hemi these days isn't cheap....
