Correct Carb Spacer?

I am trying to finish my 74 Cuda with a 440 10-1 906 heads,mopar purple cam 292-509,torker 2 manifold with a holleyAED 750 and a edelbrook 3" aluminum air cleaner,A833 manual trans for the street. The current carb spacer is way to big the hood won't close. Can any one tell me what's the best size and spacer to use to work with what I have and that I'll be able to close the hood??

Spacers are really used by racers who aren't limited by hood clearance and are trying to pick up every bit of HP they can. IMO

Now a thin-1/2" spacer might help  keep the carb cooler. Open spacers seem to help higher rpm, 4 hole spacers for low rpm.

How much clearance are you needing and what size is your carb spacer?  Perhaps a "drop" base air cleaner and a shorter (eg. <3" air filter element) may provide you with the need clearance without having to change much.
