Awesome looking cars guys.

I'm working on my original FC7 1971 R/T Challenger which has been a SLOW moving project but these type of posts give me inspiration.

This 71 R/T is an original 383 4 speed car that now is running a 440 Six Pack.

I'm going through the engine and drivetrain first, got it running/driving last fall, hope to fine tune it in the spring and change out the wheels and tires for ones Santa brought me and lower the car a bit.

Then I'll work on the body paint.

My car's body is a pretty solid western car that never had a vinyl roof but it will need a little metal work eventually.

Where is this Ken's place located? They look like they know how to work on Mopars.

Good luck.

Very nice! I actually just turned Ken onto a Plum 71 body this morning and he bought it. His place is in Danville IN, maybe 25 min West of Indy.. It's a 2 hour drive South for me, I'm in NW IN not far from Chicago. His place is called The Finer Details, the cars they produce are simply amazing and they win a lot of major awards...he's the only guy to win the Goodguys Musclecar Of The Year, twice. We are shooting for a third time with my AAR in 2013. I've been nothing but impressed with everything they have done for me.
I'm warming up my garage now so I can go out there and take some more apart, it's getting cold up here.

little at a time. I need to back the car out and pull up the nice new floor tiles I laid down for my AAR to sit on before I can get the engine pulled.

Finally got a minute to breath and actually work on the purple car.
Engine wènt to my friend at http://www.mendezmotorsports.com/ today, next step is to pull all of the glass.

Just been buying parts over the past couple of months and getting ready to blast the body.. I've been on the road with the AAR a lot so I'm behind on this project

This looks like a great project. When does it go to the body shop?

A little progress even though this one is on the back burner.. I'm still doing small things when I can while I build the other Cuda. The engine is finished. I just sat the carbs on it for some pics.

Engine looks great!   :2thumbs:    What kind of paint did you use?

"usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.

Thanks! That is Frank Baddleson's 440 orange. I've used it on a few engines and love it., including my AAR 340.. The color is perfect in person.. You can order it at Roger Gibsons site
