Early Dodge and Plymouth History - Calling All Historians
« on: December 12, 2012 - 11:07:16 PM »
Just thought I would start a thread asking anyone and everyone who knows anything about the early history of these two companies, up to and including when they were brought under the same roof.
I know that the Dodge brothers were supposedly Henry Ford's biggest parts supplier when they decided in about 1914 to start their own car company. I also heard the Hamtranck facility was used to build tanks in WW2. Is that true?

Can we get some serious history going so that we can learn a lot more about the beginnings of these great companies? Im sure some of our members here know lots of interesting stuff.
