Tom and Dave,

Thank you for the compliments on the car.   A lot of time and hard work went into that car and I learned a TON of stuff from not only people on this forum but others as well as seeing nicely done restored cars at shows and snapping pics of survivors.  I will say that I wish the muffler had that flat spot on the side where the tie down is as I always manage to somehow smash my knuckles on the tie down when I am polishing up the exhaust when I clean up the undercarriage.

Jackie,

Now you know that means you would have to part with your chally for a while and I don't know if you are ready to make that sacrifice or not.   :roflsmiley:  However, usually when a friend leaves their car with me it usually comes back looking nicer than what it had came in.  A friend of mine left me his 68 Impala SS for a couple hours to do some work on the brakes.  That night he calls me up wanting to know when the hell I put the new chrome air vent balls in the dash for him.   I don't mind helping people.  If I did, I guess I would never have gotten into the profession of law enforcement.

Pretty much the same reason why I bring my snow cone maker to events with me like Carlisle and E-town.  I do it for fun and just to "give back" to people who are part of this board and the other boards I belong to. :2thumbs:

Brian

Brian, I know . I was just busting your chops. And we do appreciate the snowcones.  :2thumbs:  I just got off the phone with Jimmy . He said no worries. He has detail duty on the Chally for Carlisle. Plus Don got it out a couple weeks ago and gave it a good hand washing . And blew the carbon out for me.  :burnout:

I was looking at the picture of the original resonator and the ECS resonator and noticed that the pentastar appears different on the ECS unit. Is it my eyes or is it different? Just curious, John.

Yea...It seems the manufacture of these assembly line parts 43 years ago got the Pentastar wrong.  :swear:

You can rest assured that ECS has corrected this problem.  :stirpot: ;)

:iagree:   Seems like there is an exhaust system for all of our needs now from OE correct and down.   :2thumbs:

Dave,

I saw that someone had said it was you over on the Moparts board.  Was that you or was it an imposter under an "alias"?  I don't know if it is a computer glitch or not but it seems that a lot of the stuff had been taken down or was not loading up on my computer.  I also posted some pics of our exhaust (ones that I posted here) over on Moparts also for everyones viewing pleasure.

PS- I also noticed that your resonator has 7 spot welds vs. the original having 6.  Will ECS correct that "problem" too?   :smilielol:

Wow, just went back and checked and I must need more coffee or have my eyes checked or something.  Don't know why but I counted 7 before.   :bricks1:  Man, I must be getting old!

hey ---

just curious   wtf   is up with Moparts?
They deleted the entire "exhuast" post from the restoration-A12 forum.

Last time I go there to post or ask questions.
They are a bunch of whinney JO's.

The more I see about what transpired, the more I think Moparts is biased in some way.  I thought I was having a computer issue as when I looked at it last night prior to leaving for work, I could only get 2 pages to come up.  While I was at work, I posted some of the same pics (and additional undercarriage ones) on there which stayed on there for a while.  Then Bill replied and I replied on there with this:

I agree Bill.  Here I thought it was just my computer having issues.  My
computer at home is now even showing less replies than what it did at this same
computer yesterday.  I just thought it was one of those Moparts things where one
thread would have to scroll left to right to read everything on the page while
others fit the screen.

Very curious to what happened? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif"
alt="" />

Then I got an email saying there was a reply by MLR426 with:

"MLR426 replied in a topic you have selected as one of your favorites  at the
site:
http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/showthreaded.php?Cat=0&Number=7511267

Thats it delete anything that references ECS thats good, gate keepers!!!

MLR426"

But when I went to try and click on the link, it came up access denied.  Again, thinking it was a computer glitch, I went directly to the resto forum section and the entire thread had disappeared.  No email, no PM, nothing explaining why it was taken down.  Now I am seeing why a bunch of other long time people have not been posting there as often as they did or at all!  Long time people who are also in the hobby and have business for Mopars.

Seems to me that there has been an act of piracy!   Hoist the colors boys!   :aarg:      :smilielol:
