I am just seeing this thread now (just starting to wake up from my winter hibernation I guess..LOL)

I cannot imagine having to go through something like this ....every time I look at my two sons, I think how lucky and blessed I am that they have been healthy and pray they stay that way.

SO HAPPY that while this thread started off very scary, it looks like the little guy is doing great now!

Prayers and good juju headed out his way to keep him that way!     :woo:  And prayers to keep YOU strong too!

Still basically the same.  He has energy and is running around playing but still doesn't eat.  Just the last couple days he has been slightly more interested in food but not much.  This is our last week before having to go back for the second phase of treatment.

I had hoped to get the car out for a quick drive before we went back.  Owen said he wanted to go for a drive.  Today it's snowing so it looks like that's not going to happen.  Yesterday I did go look at a 74 Dart Sport with my uncle.  He bought one brand new and has wanted another one after seeing how the Challenger turned out.  It's the first time I've driven an A-body and I have to say I really enjoyed it.  It looks like he is going to buy it so once this cancer crap is behind us, we'll have someone to cruise with.

Darren, Please let me know when you guys head back to the hospital. Shelby and I still have a lot more hot wheels for Owen. Maybe he can have another Hot Wheels party while your napping .  :smilielol:   Did you try giving some of that pedilght( spelling ) stuff? Just to get some nutrition in him ?  We are still praying for Owen and your family.  :angelwings:

Owen is back in Memphis for the second phase of his cancer treatments.  My wife and I are going to be rotating between Memphis and home(so we can keep our jobs) throughout his stay.  My mom is going to be staying with us in Memphis most of the time since two people need to be here during the chemo.

I assume he will be put on a feeding tube in the next few days.  He weighed 24.9 lbs this morning at the hospital.  I think he was close to 28 lbs before being diagnosed.

He will get four rounds.  Before the first round they need to collect his stem cells.  They will be injected back into his body after each round of chemo.  He probably won't be done until sometime in August.
