The Hot Wheels are doing fine.  He opened a couple per day when he was in a good mood.  Yesterday I took a nap and woke up to find cardboard everywhere.  He was supposed to be sleeping too but decided it was more important to open some more cars.
. Darren,  I laughed out loud at that.  I bet Owen was having a good old time while Daddy was napping.  :smilielol: :smilielol:

A package arrived today for Owen.  Thanks Phil and Chris!  He wants to play with the Legos right now but I told him he needed a nap first.

Last weekend Owen and I went to a motorcycle/car show here in Memphis.  A couple saw that he was sick and asked if he wanted to go behind the ropes and sit in their car.(69 Nova)  THey took some pictures of Owen with their phone and sent them to me in an email.  In the email they said there was a monster truck show this weekend and they wanted to take Owen and me as their guest.  Well, tonight we went to Monster Jam and sat in their suite.  Half way through the show, a man came up to us and bought Owen a 2013 Monster Jam Yearbook.  Owen had a good time and is now playing with his Hot Wheels monster trucks at 11:45pm.  I am just amazed at the generosity of complete strangers.  It gives you hope in mankind.  In an age where most people think only of themselves, there are still good people out there.

Ooops,

Just saw that you posted you got the package!  Great!  Hope he enjoys it!

When you buy stuff for kids its often stuff you want for yourself.  Chris and I thought the flatbed truck w/car was cool.  (Darren, just imagine it's your Challenger coming back from the restoration....  ;) )

It is cool.  I didn't have Legos that cool when I was growing up.  We put it together this morning.  Owen winched that car all over the place.

I don't think your experience is a fluke. I think Americans are the most generous people out there.

Power to Owen!
