My wife had tears in her eyes when I showed the pic to her.  Beautiful.     :angelwings:

My wife and I received this portrait in the mail last week.  Thanks Shelby!  This obviously took a long time to complete.  We have a place all picked out for it as soon as we find a proper frame.

Darren, I am glad the portrait made it to you and Julie safely. This was Shelby's idea because she knew i was upset that we couldn't afford to sent something to the service. It was truly a gift from the heart.  :angelwings:

Okay Shelby.....thanks for making me cry again, that is a beautiful picture.
Ron, Your not the only one. I had to walk outside a few times while Shelby was drawing the portrait .    :'(.     And I know Shelby had a box of tissues sitting beside her and had to walk away a couple times.  :crying:   But I'm so proud , it turned out beautiful. I have seen a lot of my daughter's art work. And Owen 's portrait is the best one she has ever done.  :angelwings:    :angelwings:

I know I'm just some guy on the internet that you don't really know, but I've been following this since I first saw it and you guys have been in my thoughts ever since. I really am sorry things didn't end up better than they did.

I'm very sorry for your loss. Hang in there, man.

Well said, I wanted to say something but couldn't quite find the right words. Thinking of you and your wife  especially at this season.

I'm sure it's hard this time of year for you and your family.  Wish I could give you a hug.  My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

Happy 5th Birthday Owen. Wish you were here!

We all wish he were still here.  Still love the photo of his and your legs sticking out from under that car.  What a great memory to have captured of you and he sharing a common love.

Also thinking of you and your family on this day, Burdar.

Should have a good collection of pull tabs to bring to Carlisle for Owen.  I know he'll be walking around with us.

Take care.
