    The gun really doesn't matter its  because no one knows what we will face in this walk thru life ,what does  is life after this mortal life , again my belief ,wished more had my belief  as there would be less violence . Of course again just me

    There was a time where you had to go out and hunt your food.

    Now you go to the local grocery store and all the gore is taken away from you.

    Doesn't mean it still happens, it just makes your conscience feel better.

    I think it's an error to accept the premise that guns were made to kill things. My guns were made to protect things, and most importantly protect lives

    Being a non-gun owner (although I am thinking about getting one) I 100% agree but still think more can be done to help gun violence-it is a double edged sword and no easy answers.

    There are whacknuts everywhere in every country in every religion, political spectrum, race, and creed. What are we gonna do when a suicide bomber finally gets a C-4 vest into a school auditorium. Or a Suicide bomber blows up a kindergarten with a car bomb. Ban the muslim faith I am sure it is just a matter of time. We need to live our lives normally and do not need politicians to restrict our freedoms everytime a whacknut looses his marbles and opens up on a crowd.

    I've been in a situation where a bad guy with a gun was stopped by a good guy with a gun. I honestly can't say if it saved lives because I don't know if the bad guy was willing to use  it, or if he just wanted to wave it around for intimidation. Assuming he was willing to use it, the good guy saved lives.

If the Watts riots or the Rodney King riots happen, I dare you to try and go to your local grocery store and get a loaf of bread and some deli meat. If you are that stupid, more power to you. Do it un-armed, of course. lol. No one here is talking about gore. No one here is talking about "feeling good" about where their food comes from. Most people nowadays are 'prepped" and won't have to deal with the shooting and the looting. If you haven't taken care of your self, well, it's your own fault. When they come for your food, gee.
