Ya,I still need to get my new heater hung and hooked up but I want the garage closed in first. I`ll probably have everything done just in time to go back to work.  :banghead:

Eons ago when I was working as a stick framer construction worker I have a team lead that must have hated his wife. He always wanted to work from Dark to Dark on the job sites. And during the winter brought a set of floodlights so we could continue to work into the night.  :roflsmiley: He was a pretty cool guy and taught me alot about framing.

Just a quick google search;

Guns per 100 residents, top 10 countries

 Country         qty    rank
 United States 88.8  1
 Serbia           58.2  2
 Yemen          54.8  3
 Switzerland   45.7  4
 Cyprus         36.4   5
 Saudi Arabia 35     6
 Iraq             34.2   7
 Finland        32     8
 Uruguay      31.8  9
 Sweden       31.6  10

Firearm related deaths, annual rate per 100,000, top 10  countries

El Salvador 50.36
Jamaica     47.44
Honduras   46.70
Guatemala 38.52
Swaziland  37.16
Colombia   28.11
Brazil        19.01  (the next summer Olympics will be here)
Panama    12.92
Mexico      11.14
Philippines 9.46

I notice none of the countries on the first list also show up on the second list. Finding out who has the most restrictive laws and how those laws relate to the above list is  a bit more difficult to do in a quick search.

Intresting stats to say the least.  :grinyes:

What is funny is that those small arms totals in Iraq include fully automatic ak-47's and RPG's they got better laws over there. I would not mind owning a Javelin with a few reloads just in-case.

Ironically, last friday around lunchtime I had not heard about Sandy Hook yet, and met the wife at Wal Mart to help her pick out a few gifts. While she was looking at toys, I wandered nearby to the guns aisle, and considered purchasing the Bushmaster M4 they had sitting in the display. I think they wanted about $970. Since I had paid more a few years ago for mine I thought it was a good price and I nearly bought it for an "investment". Didnt think the wife would appreciate it though so I passed.
Later when I got in the car I turned on the radio and heard all about the shootings.
Would have been considered blood money by many, but I could have turned right around and bought it on the spot. Would have doubled my money in a week.
Last night I tried to log on to gunbroker.com. The site is locked up its so busy!

Intresting stats to say the least.  :grinyes:

But the countries with the most deaths have lots more crime in general than the US and some are downright uncivilized in some areas.

my  :2cents: is.

I am a CPL holder and have been for years. I beleive in the second amendment, Michigan also has an open carry law that is rarely practiced because of fear issues. But if you dont practice safety first with handling and storage, Nothing else matters, All of this could have been prevented if the mother would have had these locked up, If she did, she may not have been shot by her own challenged son, the kids and teachers also would not have been killed and hurt. we will never know why as everyone wonder,  The insane or mentally challenged should never be incontact with a firearm or a form of weapon,
The politicians can change the laws to suit there own agendas or a group. But I beleive they will never be able to take away our 2nd amendment right let alone be able to take away the firearms from the criminals, when our own government is corrupt. Hence the special op gone wrong of the fast n furious,
Firearms are not the issue or problem, the hands that they fall into and those hands that have the blood on them, all of the criminals that buy them illegally, and now people want to change the laws that affect the honest citizens with registered firearms, what is wrong with the big picture here.

I'm currently in the middle of getting my firearm license in Puerto Rico right now. It's pretty expensive here, 125 just to be able to buy a gun, 410 to be able to buy and take it to the range to shoot (you have to belong to a club for this one) and another 1000 for conceal carry, which is done through the courts. They have to be renewed every five years. Like tommyg, I was at the gun store looking for a pistol and took a look at the M4s they had there. Once I have my license I'll be picking up an FNX-9 for personal protection and probably an M4 for the range and in case things get really bad here. I'm holding off on the conceal carry for the time being until I know the x-9 like thoroughly and I feel comfortable having it on me.

Another Liberal media hot Mic moment. Not a surprise as most reporting has to be filtered throught the lefty filter before it reaches the screen.

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/hot-mic-catches-reporters-bad-mouthing-nra-presser-they-basically-said-it-was-everyones-fault-but-ours/

Great comment posted with great ???'s No one answered in the media. .... For the Liberal propaganda voice of the government.

Instead of mocking the NRA, how about these reporters getting out and getting some answers on this story?

So what was the evidence they found at his house?

Who was the man arrested in the woods at the school?

Why for two days did they say the AR was in the back of the car, but then an investigator said everyone was shot with a rifle? Which is it?

What are the eye witnesses saying? Did he have a rifle in hand? Was he let in? Did he force his way in?

What is his dad saying now? What about the brother?

What was he doing? Was he in school? Did he work? Did he just sit home all day playing video games?

What political views did he and his mother have?

I want to know what music he listened to

I want to know what computer games he played

I want to know how often he went to church (if ever)

I want to know what his relationship to his father was

Did he ever play sports

The MSM called him a Marksman – did he shoot with the 4H, boy scouts, CMP, NRA…???

Was he an NRA member? Was him Mom?

How often was his mom out at the bar drinking, while he was alone at home?

If she was going to commit him, did she allow him access to those guns, or did he break in and get them?

Did he watch Fox news? Did he watch John Stewart?

What movies did he watch?

Was he into the role playing games, LARP, did he have any addictions?

What medications was he on?
