This looks confusing to some, but I know my clusters well. THis is a nice dash here. This is a 70 CHALLENGER/71 BARRACUDA SPEEDOMETER. All of the parts are mountd in a 70 CHALLENGER GAUGE HOUSING. Fuel, Temp & ALT gauge are 70-74 Barracuda & 71-74 Challenger. 70 Challengers have GASOLINE, TEMPERATURE, & ALTERNATOR on the lower part of the gauge. The needle is skinnier & not pointed on 70 Challengers. However, these will work & fit any e-body, BUT the housing is different due to the warning light holes are reset-deeper on the housing, which allows the 1-year only ribbed 70 Challenger outer ribbed bezel on it. If you put this into a 70-74 Cuda or 71-74 challenger, it will fit as well, BUT the warning lights will be slightly dim, & it will reflect light around inside the cover into the clear lens & look crappy. Not cutting down this cluster, but I have had 100's of clusters in the past & still some now & know them well. I once had a 72 Barracuda winter beater back in 1984 (rusted & crashed some but parts car that spring '85) & it had a nice ralley dash in it back then, I pulled it out & installed a standard dash cluster from a 70 challenger & it worked just fine, with some rewireing of course to the harness which had some flaws in it. Now, If you think the clocks are the same, wait! there is 2 different standard dash clocks also. I'll find & post a few pics of that as well for all of us to see, if you don't know the difference! I have tons of pictures of standard dashes & ralleys tucked into my files, so if anyone needs a picture for referance, just ask me!
