Rear sway bar with relocated perches

Has anybody mounted a rear sway bar after using a b-body rear axle? If so what did you use? A Charger bar? :dunno:

I'm using a DrDiff B-Body width Dana 60 with DrDiff 1" relocated hangers and shackles. The Hotchkis E-Body sway bar did fit just fine. It was close and I had to make this bushing to eliminate the nut or bolt head for a little more clearance. Hotchkis sells a similar bushing but I'm cheap.... and wanted mine out of stainless and machined in a grease groove...
I just took the under car shots for you with my cell phone, let me know if you would like any other shots/views. I have a good 3/4" clearance to the spring now .

I moved my springs in about .600" and reattached the stock bar. I cut off the tabs for the links, moved them over the required amount then welded them back on. Can't find my pics yet but still looking.

There was also a thread on here where someone added material to the tab area and drilled a new hole for the links. If you're moving them in one inch that would be the way to go.

Actually I used the same bar , I slide the bar into my trailer hitch on the cummins & pulled , I bent the bar  inward  , the bar bent before the truck moved LOL

And you have mad skills with a lathe and a milling machine.....

How does that hotchkis bar attach to the frame Brad? Does it have different link mount hole for adjustable rate? I used Dr. Diff's 1.5" relo kit. Should still leave me a bit 'o' room? Tires are only 3/8" from the springs.

I don't have a stock bar, so I can't go the way Sdogg did.

You can buy pretty much the same part from Hotchkis  I'm just cheap!  :grinyes:....

The bar has 3 different holes for adjustments.
Brackets for dog leg welds to the frame. Bar clamps to rear end... more room for exhaust!

Brad, did you ever test the different sway bar link positions? If you did, could you tell the difference with your seat of the pants gauge?

I just bolted up the factory e-body sway bar.  It's not perfect, but it works.

Later on I might buy another bar, Firm Feel apparently will make you an e-body bar with the b-body width.

I did the calculations and the slightly wider bar only reduces the downward force by ~5%, so no biggie in my book.

No not yet. I need to get better shocks to handle the composite springs first.
