I wouls think the current owner would have a lot invested having it shipped over seas...

I hope you get rid of the white T/A stripes, they look WRONG in my opinion. Same with the rear window louvers...just just don't belong with a white top.

Car has been in Japan since 1992. I personally like the white stripes with the white top, and am neutral on the window louvers.

You're getting a T/A that's worth $37,500 and paying an extra $30,000 just to have your Father's car back.

Nobody else on earth in their right mind would pay that much for that car.  If the current owner knows it was your Father's and you want it back....I'm surprised he's not asking $100,000.00

The white top is correct (and rare for a T/A) according to the fender tag, but no T/A was ever built with white stripes and they look totally out of place in my opinion. The louvers were added as well, which weren't available with V1W.

I think that car looks totally awesome!  Now that you have found the car, and it is for sale!  I would sale a kidney or whatever it took to get my fathers car back if it meant that much to you!

What? He doesn't know that first of all, and I have verified locally that is the advertised asking price. You've already stated your opinion on the stripes and louvers.

No it's not photoshopped.  I have over 50 pictures from two Japanese owners.

I don't think that price is too far out of line if that's a real T/A.  Even good clones get that kind of money at auction if they are really well done/show quality cars.  The shipping is steep no doubt, but probably right for trans-Pacific.

Like others have said....Being your Father's car, it's obiviously PRICELESS to you...

If you have the funds, then the actual value doesn't matter.

Like I said, in my opinion you're paying a $30K premium for your Father's car...
