Finally made it back home at about 12:30am, the car will hopefully leave there within a few weeks, it's at the port, but must get a vessel booked and clear customs.

That's a great story.  I can relate.  I still have the super bee my dad bought new in 69...22,000 mile original paint survivor.  Hope to meet you at a show sometime.

By far the best story I've read.  How old would your dad have been if he was still alive?  I'm guessing he would be in his early to mid 60's.  I applaud your mission to find his car and to go to the next level to get it back home despite the barriers you faced.
