Ah? But doen't the outside beam work as a high beam? If so what about a 2 lamp system then, like a Cuda?

Some states only allow amber/yellow lights for emergency/hazard/construction vehicles. Others may allow them for fog lights or even hi beams. If you want to see some really strange laws check out the rules for running a light bar on a Jeep or similar. You'll find certain areas limit the number you have, others require you to cover them when driving on public roads, etc.

Bought the same lights as Brad. NY is fussy but you can always try to get a inspection at a different shop. Some shops try and tell you your car wont pass just to make money.They did it to my brother inlaw and I almost went after the guy. Said the headlight was off and it would cost $49 to adjust it. Now I live in S Carolina and no inspection

Wierd rules. I believe Bart posted about, i think France, where your forward lenses HAD to be yellow? Until just recently? How do the front marker/turn signal lenses of an e-body pass?

There are also other factory equipped cars with forward yellow lenses. The new Challenger, Corvettes, Mustangs...

This topic reminds me of my old highschool autoshop teacher in the 80's.

Some how he managed to get a hold of one of those old highway construction arrows. Supposedly they were made up of yellow highbeam lights or something like that. He pulled it apart and gave all the kids in the autoshop these yellow lights.
