Found one at Evans Wiring ..... great resource for various harnesses.    If you haven't checked them out ..... do so!

Great quality and reasonable pricing.     CHAPS!

I checked out their site, pretty cool.  They don't have pricing; can I inquire what it cost you?

Ok now I have to ask. If you had an auto tranny will the wiring harness connection be there? If you converted to 4 speed?

I was just thinking of running a wire down to the tranny sensor.....

4 speed harness has 2 wires to the Trans, auto has 3 wires. They do not interchange.

Ok thanks that's what I thought. There is only one wire that comes off the reverse warning light and I was going to run a wire to the tranny to make that operational. Any issues?

I have a repop 4 speed harness that I'd let go for $30 shipped US (if Canada probably 35...they really get you on that).  I bought it for my car and then discovered my harness was fine just connected incorrectly.

Just to be clear the 4 speed harness has these connections right?:

1) NSS switch
2) Reverse light switch

Well technically, it's a Clutch Safety Switch and not a Neutral Safety Switch :)  Manual will start in any gear as long as the clutch is depressed.
Here are the connections:

The black end with 2 female ends connects to the transmission.  The white connection goes into the bulk head connection.  The grey male plug runs to the light

Perfect! Thanks for the pics it all makes sense now. Is the one you have shown the same one you can get from Evans Wiring for 16 bucks?

As well, it looks like the white connector has to pass thru the firewall and connect on the outside so how would you grommit this piece?

Thanks in advance,
Bryan

I'm not sure what Evans Wiring sells...the one I see on their page is $30?
Anyhow the white piece plugs into the big white connection block on the engine side of the fire wall.  I am not sure if the grey wire goes through the firewall (it'd be easy to slip a grommet around) or if the other end (which connects to the dash light) goes through the firewall with a grommet.

For reasons I still do not understand, one of the previous owners had placed the automatic transmission harness between my transmission and the manual harness.  Once I figured out  that was incorrect and I removed it, I did not have to mess with the firewall portion of it.

If the one you have posted pics here is for sale I'll take it.

I guess the small grey connector comes thru the firewall and goes to the reverse light. Now which of the smaller fuseblock connectors does it connect to, left or right?

The one for the warning light looks like this.
This is the factory OEM.
