I think I finally figured out this chatroom stuff, now only if I could get in without being a guest. I'll figure it out. :beer:

The chat requires that you have Java installed. Later versions of Internet Explorer include Java but sometimes the version isn't the latest one. It's best to install the one listed at the link above. I never see anyone in the chat when I'm here or I'd join you...

Welcome Troy!! Usually it's busy at night. I see alot of people in there around 8 or 9 oclock pm cc.com time!! Do you have an e-bod Troy?? Love to see some pics!! :beer:

I did visit (an empty room) a few times when it was first up, now after cleaning up my puter(bad move I really don't know what I did) I can't get in, java page comes up, & then it shuts down aol. tried explorer through cable & java page is just a red X & I'm stuck there!!!! do you have a link to the room, maybe that would work??? Rich.

I couldn`t get in thru explorer but just tried netscape and it worked.i guess I need Java for my Explorer?

You just need to download the Java runtime to make the chat work in IE. You can get it here:

Weird, I had deleted that last week when cleaning out the puter(thought it was one of the kids thingies

) but reloaded it when my wife couldn't get something she used a lot to run, so I think it was in the puter, just hit load again, messed with the settings a bit & now it works? :dontknow: Love this puter stuff!
Anywho, it worked, so where is everybody!

OK I downloaded Java and it still doesn`t work,I just get a blank screen?

I got in by downloading EWCmIRC from the bottom of the chat home page. registered, then I get in from my control panel, not the c-c website. I don't know if this is possible if you have dial-up. I just minimize whatever i'm working on and get in through the control panel icon. Java took up too much space on the computer.
