1970 Cuda Dash Pad (SOLD)
« on: January 07, 2013 - 01:46:21 PM »
I have a 1970 Barracuda dash pad, problem is I have a 1971 car so I want to sell it. It came with the car when I got it, don't know why he got the wrong one, never been installed

It is an older Year One pad and has the metal base, not an ABS base like Year One sells now. It is a single speaker, non A/C.

SOLD _ THANK YOU

Pardon my ignorance, but I thought all Cuda dashpads 70-74 were the same.    :feedback:

I know the 70 Challenger dashpad is unique for the stitching, but I'm curious about what makes a 70 Cuda dashpad unique.

The 70 had a script writing for the "Barracuda" tag on the dash. In 1971 they have a square emblem that is stuck on. Other then that they are the same

Thanks.

It sounds like the same way the Challenger scripts are.

Curious, does it have YEAR ONE embossed into the vinyl where the dash vin would go?  I have had quite a few e bodies and one of the 71 Cuda's I had years ago had a beautiful pad (better than the Just Dashes and Ultimate Rides ones I have had), the pad was stamped YEAR ONE as I mentioned.  I think Just Dashes may have done it, but it was done with a vinyl overly that was much more correct than others I have seen.  Where in WI are you?  I grew up East of Chippewa Falls.

Yes it has the Year One logo where the VIN tag goes. It looks very good, I am tempted to use it even though it is not correct. I am in Rice Lake

Spent plenty of time in Rice Lake both fishing and delivering for Menards back in the late 80s.  The pad was in the car attached, gunmetal/white gut 4 speed.  I sold it years ago, and ironically I got a call from some one from Rice Lake area saying he had a similar car.
