1967 barracuda wheel size
« on: March 07, 2005 - 11:23:52 PM »
:boxer:Hello fellow mopar lovers.  I've got a 1967 barracuda fastback formula s. It currently has mopar rally's 14x6 in the front with 225/50/14 tires. In the back it has 255/50/15 on 15 x 7 rims.  It appears to have about an inch of clearance from the wheel lip and the springs on the inside.
I am planning on buying american racing torque thrust 2 wheels. Does anyone know if 15 x 8 wheels will fit in the back and what back spacing will I need. Also will 275/50/15 tires fit in th back ok without rubbing? Thanks in advance for any help.

the 8 " wheel will fit if you have 1" each side , the tire sizing may be bcritical to keep the sidewall clearance though
you need to measure the wheels you have, if you have 3.5" backspacing now with a 7 " rim the 8 " wheel will need 4" backspacing to fit evenly , basically add 1/2" to the backspacing you have now
