Stereo Radio only sound on one side?

I have an AM/FM stereo thumb wheel radio for a 1971 Cuda. Finally got far enough to hook it up and their is only signal coming from the Left channel, nothing out of the right. Balance seems to work as I can fade out the signal from the left, but get nothing to the right.

Anything easy to look for or do I have to send it in?

Are you sure the speaker works?  If you can try swapping the right and left connections.

If it does I would hook a multi meter to the output and see if there is any signal on the wire at all.

Maybe you are lucky and its something easily replaceable like the cross over box

the contacts inside the fade control might benefit from a quick spray of WD-40....the contacts tend to oxidize from long periods of non use and humidity. 

have you ever turned the volume control up and got static and erratic levels of volume?  wd-40 will fix that...or any contact cleaner.

Yes I have already verified that it is at the radio by swaping wires around at the 3 pin connection. Doing that I can get sound to the right side if I use the left out put of the radio.
