    72 Challenger Project Dodge Ball

    This is my 72 Challenger. I bought it in November 2012. Originally a 340 car but this is pretty much all that's left of it. I'm an Auto Shop teacher and I bought this car as an auto club project.  This kids love working on it but I have to pay them in pizzas. Cheep labor in my opinion.

    Its originally a 340 auto so that's what I want to put back in.  I have a 3.93 sure grip rear end for it.

    1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

     I have a feeling the sun roof is  going to a PITA finding parts for it and getting it to work.

    Thats awesome! Shop was my favorite back in the ol' days. My best teacher and most understanding of the kids. Love the car. should make all kinds of progress with those kids helping.

    Perhaps.  Can you just operate it manually some how?  :clueless:

    Welcome!  :wave: That's pretty cool! My auto shop never had anything so cool as this!  :2thumbs:
    As you get further along maybe start a new post with the sunroof? You never know someone might have some parts laying around?  I'm guessing they used parts off a C-Body or something for the sunroof?  :dunno:

    Welcome to the site! That's a great project car for the budding wrenchs and pizza is relatively cheap to feed them. I wouldn't say the same about the 3:91's though. I had a set in a Valiant with a 340 and it'd pass most anything- except a gas station. 3600 @ 60-70 mph. And that was back in the days of 50 cent a gallon gas. Good luck with it, nonetheless.  :wave:
