Cool car!

It's great some schools still have auto shop class.

Keep the sunroof.

Any chance we could see the fender tag readout?

Does anyone know if the a body sunroof parts are compatible?

Myunderstanding is that the Challengers did not come from the factor with the sunroofd installed. It was an option purchased from the dealer. The car was sent to a different place to have the sunroof installed before it was shipped to the dealer.

Interesting, probably hard to keep the kids attention in this age of instant gratification.  They see a whole car built in a single 1/2 hr episode on TV.
I applaud you, teaching is an under appreciated profession.

Looks almost identical to my 'Cuda a couple of years back.  Keep up the good work and don't wait so long between updates.   :2thumbs:
1970 Plymouth 'Cuda.  Matching numbers 440 U Code, 4 speed pistol grip, Rallye dash, AM 8 Track, Shaker hood, 15 inch rallye wheels, Dana 60 4.10, Super Track Pak.  One of 134 - 440 "U" coupes codes built in 1970 and one of 100 - 440 Super Track Paks built in 1970.

"usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.

I know, it's been a long time. I have all the rear sheet metal now so posting should be more frequent.

Very cool project!!  I couldn't help but notice that one of your photos was named Cicero...My Mom's family was/is from around that area.

Are you a member of the Chicagoland MoPar Connection club by chance?  I used to know quite a few guys from it, ranging anywhere from Bartlett to Naperville/DG/Warrenville/Lisle.
1973 Dodge Challenger......................The ongoing project. (00/----\00)
1991 Dodge Stealth R/T Twin-Turbo....The sunny day cruiser (RTBoost)

No I'm not a member.  I'm still pretty new to the Mopar Game. My family is also from Cicero and is where I grew up.  My Grandmother was the first generation born here and tells stories that date back to the Capone Era. She is 90 now.

Here we go. I drew a line 1 inch out from the raised edge near the top of the outer wheelhouse. I continued the line forward until I reached clean metal then turned 90 degrees and came to the outer edge. The rear of the wheelhouse in cut above the rotted area.
