looks good!  First time I've seen that sector support kit.  I'm gonna have to look into that one.

I drove it today, and it is amazing the difference the rear sway bar and the sector support kit made.  I have had this car for over 20 years and it is the first time I didn't have to hang on when taking a turn.  The sector support kit took all of the slop out of the steering, the response was incredible.

I am seriously looking at these wheels and am looking for some advice.  I am currently running P235/60R15 tires on 15x7 Magnums all around.  I amlooking at going to the 17" Year One Magnums and P235/50R17 on the front and P255/50R17 on the back on 17x8 YO Magnums.  Do the 4.5" front backspace and the 5.125" rear backspace cause and rubbing issues? Does it make more sense to go with 9" on the back?  Thanks, Mike

OK, so I got the rims and tires and I'm having a rubbing problem.

Fronts: 17x8 with 4½" BS and P245/45R17 Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval
Rears: 17x9 with 5" BS and P275/40R17 Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval

My car has the Mopar replacement leaf springs (which are 6 six years old and I believe are sagging) so I want to get new Espo springs but I'm not sure whether to go with springs that are stock, +1" or +2".  As it sits now the top of the wheel opening is about 1" to 1½" below the top of the tire but I'm not sure how relevant that is.

From the ground to the top of the rear wheel opening is currently 23¾".  The tire diameter is 25.7".

Any ideas?

I had plus 1 1/2" ESPO springs they were higher. Not the best for the ultimate in handling but I liked the look,  sounds like it would solve your rub issues? 27"? tire  255/60/15

23.75" to the opening is LOW.

I run mopar XHD's on my Challenger, its 24.5" to the wheel opening on mine, I run the same 275/40/17's on the back with a 17x9" rim and 5" backspace. I have a '68-70 B body rear and a 1" relocation though, so I have a ton of space to the quarter.

Stock springs from ESPO would probably solve your problem. I wouldn't go more than +1".

OK, so I was able to determine that it was only rubbing (and only very, very slightly - the tires weren't even scraped) on the right front (during a hard turn) and on the right rear.  The right front was fixed with a slight torsion bar adjustment.  As for the right rear, we discovered that one of the bands on the Mopar repro leaf springs had broken off and the leaves were shifting.  I had already planned to re-do the rear, so a pair of Espo +1s and KYB shocks went on over the weekend.  I'll post pics as soon as I can.

Thanks, I do, too, although it took me about a day or so to get used to it.  I'm now at 26¼" to the wheel opening.

There shouldn't be any fender/tire clearance problems on Challengers, in particular, using the 17x9 rims with 275-40-17 tires... front AND rear... there should be plenty of room from the lips (front and rear) and rear leafs.  At the most, only slight fender lip rolling would be required if you have a soft suspension.   I wouldn't install the KYBs... they are weak and not considered much of a performance improvement.. there are many better shocks ... spend a little more and you get what you pay for with shocks.  The back-spacing on the new YearOne rims is correct for both the 8" and 9".. so, the tire should be kept in the same centerline of the original factory rim location... only the tire gets spread out a little more, as well as the extra width of the tire.   (I believe the E-body Cudas have very slightly less fender clearance... thus requiring the possibility of lip rolling just a little bit, but even the E-body Cudas shouldn't have any problem.)
Autocross/road racers go in deeper... and come out harder!

Think those are now my favorite 17" wheels.  Makes me wonder what the new 17" rallye wheels look like?  I've seen the taller rallye wheels and didn't care for those at all.  Sure digging how the 17" magnums look on both your cars - COOL!
