Are those the stock e-body spindles that came with the car?

They are what was installed when I bought the car, they look stock to me but they could be anything. Apparently they are backwards, so I'll have fix that when I install the brakes....

I recall that the Magnum Force dropped spindles have a reversed caliper mounting?

I may be wrong but I do remember reading something along the lines of that.

Looking at it a second time I believe they're backwards.

Swapped the incorrect spindles, installed tti headers, (1 5/8 step down) and almost done with tti exhaust (2.5 inch to ultraflo with rear exit turndowns). The rear hangers are a not lining up well yet. Need to do some work there.... The headers were crazy easy to install  though!

Exhaust is a huge pain, not lining up at all, I'll have to call support tomorrow. The muffler is touching the diff and I can't seem to adjust it. Even with the hangers disconnected I can't get it to line up, instructions are no help at all.
Is the mid pipe supposed to only have one bend into the mufflers? Seems odd..

Ugh user error, had the mid pipe turned around, there are left and right markers on it, now it fits.

Apparently you can put the spindles on the wrong side and it will work. This guy did it twenty years ago and has just now reversed the spindles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlCVoiW09Xk

I got my new road racing brake kit last night. Dick from firm feel turned me onto a provider call all time racing. Turns out he lives one town over from me and runs his cuda and dart in vintage track events. The spindle is turned around for this kit, which also allows you to run a cooling kit. The kits even fits 15s

so I have a good amount of clearance with my 16s....

I am totally confused as to which direction the spindles go on the front of my ebody. Every service manual I have has the brake calipers mounted to the rear. My car came with them mounted to the rear (though someone could have switched them somewhere down the line) and a video of the Hotchkis front suspension I put on mine has the demonstration car video with the caliper to the rear. http://www.hotchkis.net/dodge-plymouth-chrysler-body-tvs-installation/ . Apparently, as I found in a video I posted earlier, the caliper is to be on the front of the wheel according to it's demonstrator. Does it throw off the geometry or is there a defined Mopar diagram that shows them the right way? I see you reversed the spindles again to mount your after market brakes so it seems it makes no difference. Also note that the body mount for the brake line to the caliper is to the rear of the wheel as well. Is someone just screwing around?

I recommended not believing anything  i I say but...... apparently the mopar spindles are neutral and can be used either way without effecting geometry. I believe the correct factory install was as Alan described....

From the factory ALL 1970-74 E Body's with disc brakes had the caliper hanging off the front.

I called Wilwood on this a while back and they said, back or front, it didn't really matter :pullinghair:
