You should've made this a Poll. Modify your post to do that.

I think the new Generation challenger looks great but it's kinda overweight looking.  :2cents:

Choice for me is the older style.

new challenger front end :ylsuper: , old challenger rear.. the new cars are to wide from the side veiw . never could understand why the new cars are so heavy. modern light weight parts and they still out weigh a cast iron 440 beast.

 :iagree:  poll.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

One of the things that has caught my eye and now in this pic it is more obvious.....are the mirrors on the old challenger kind of like the arms on a t rex ,way to small , on the new challenger the  mirrors seem to be more in proportion with the car..perhaps it is just me  :stirpot:

Mirrors are overrated, I vote for the original Challenger.

its all the extra crap, the heated power adjustable seats, the 2 million sensors, all the airbags, and all that crap.  as far a a 3200lb vette goes, cut out the challengers' rear seat, make its whole body fiberglass, and give it an aluminum frame a *poof* 3200 challenger, but then it would cost 60k too

Ok, I made it a poll for 1970-71  1972-74 & then 2008-13  I read somewhere they made the new Challengers mirrors bigger & wider  to give the effect of a longer front end. When i look at the mirrors alone, they seem huge but looking at the "whole" car, they look right. I somehow think the new 2013 Challenger looks somehow different in the front end compared to the 2010-11 but can't put my finger on exactly what is different.

The old Challengers headlights were further out from the grille PLUS, i like the larger scoops on the old Challenger. the new one is a bigger car they say but it is not wide enough, it looks tall & narrow. Too bad they didn't make its own frame to sit on instead of the  one they put it on.

OK, heres why it looks so fat. It had to have large dia. wheels, so had to have huge wheelwell cutouts, so had to have a tall amount of body area below the character line to allow the wells, at the same time the area above the line is more sized like the original. And of course that fat area carries around to the back and front of the car.

Beauty is only skin deep,

Ugly is right to the Bone,

That's why I like them both,

But I tend to like the old school a bit more. So 1970 has the balls in todays vote.

Not to get too off topic:

Who were the Brain childs that created the 1970 Challenger and the new generation Challenger bodies?
