i am thinking of up grading to a 6 pack. Just to be sure will a 70 TA manifold bolt right in on a 72 block? Are the linkages easy to get?

out of curiosity, whht kind of power difference are we talking about?  I have a 12:1 340, with a 750 Holley on a eddie air gap, would a 6-pack make me significantly more power?

Just going by the 1970 specs. The 6-pack makes 15 more HP than the 4 barrel.

From what I hear, they are much more problematic to tune. I would stay with the 4-barrel, unless you want the 6-pack for coolness at car shows.

To compare to your 750 holley, the 6 pack has a 350 in the center and two 500s on each side.  The whole set up is generally considered for comparison purposes at 1000 cfm.

the 340+6 intakes swap onto any LA engine no problem , the magnum heads use a different bolt angle .
 Power wise it is definatly an upgrade but so is an Air gap intake with a 750 Proform carb , the 6 packs look great but are less tunable , especially with longer duration cams & lower vacuum ,  they do not have changable air bleeds etc to really dial them in

Do you know of anyone who has put a 340 six pack under a regular 70 'cuda power bulge hood?  I've seen them clear on Challengers, but the center of the hood is higher than the cuda hood. Don't know if the air cleaner will clear.

yes it will clear , the 440+6 was offered with the Ralley Cuda hood & clears fine
