t/a hood issue
« on: January 30, 2013 - 06:26:14 PM »
So yesterday I decided it was time to mount my year one T/A hood, and I found that the factory bolts from my rallye hood are too big for the T/A hood.  Anybody know what size bolts i'm gonna need?  It would save me from loading up my hood, and heading to fastenal to play an hour long game of "does this fit".   :dunno:  thanks guys!

try a trunk or fender bolt the r/t hood does use bigger bolt but if you got to a flat hot they have the smaller sicze bolt like our fenders and trunk at least they were that size on my 70 with a flat hood before i switched to the r/t hood

They have to be either 3/8 coarse [larger]
or 5/16 coarse [smaller]
Approx 1 inch long with large washers

Do these hoods come bolt on ready? Are they painted in the correct color?   :clueless:

Mine fits like a glove, probably cuz it's year one, they have to justify the extra $$$ I bought mine second hand but it straight as can be, bolt on ready, just gotta install the hood pins.  Just gotta paint it now, but thanks to a hail storm last June, the whole car is getting done courtesy of State Farm :).  Thanks for the info guys
