Enjoy the ride Doug especially with all of those that enter into your trip along the way.

My wife and I divorced over 6 years ago and I am happy to report we are back together for good this time.  I finally figured out that sometimes I just need to listen and be supportive without having all the answers.........

Doug, sorry to hear about the passing of your wife. Everyday is a new day with new things to see and do. If you are near the Amarillo Tx. area please look me up. We would love to roll with another Mopar. We have a very strong club here and would to show you what we have for you to see in our area.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my brother back in 1986 to Marfarns Syndrome.  We were best friends and he started my passion with muscle cars. I hope your road trip takes on fantastic journeys.  I'm sure she will be with you the whole way.  I would love ot hear about your adventures as you drive this great country. I am in SE PA so please if you come this way let me know. Be safe and enjoy the ride.   :burnout:

Many thanks to all of you for your kinds words.

I'm starting to get a plan together - which is good as it takes my mind of other things and helps fill my time.   First, I have to get my motor rebuild finished up quicker than I had planned (it was on track for a rebuild this winter, but they agreed to move it up on the schedule).   So - hopefully will get her back running in the next week or two and then pack up and hit the road heading south.   One thing I'm a bit concerned about is space...... the collapsible spare is just for show - so probably need to stick a full sized tired somewhere (which doesn't leave a lot of room for other stuff).      Guess I'll travel light!

I really don't like interstates and have no schedule - other than first heading south.   So as I develop a plan, I will keep folks here tuned in ... and perhaps I can meet up with some of you on my travels.     Thanks again for the support!

Doug

Well, a number of factors caused a delay in getting started on this Road Trip (including getting the motor rebuilt).  But,  I finally hit the road Sunday evening pulling an all nighter from Vermont to northern Virginia to try to  beat the storm system that was coming across.  But, I got caught up with the snow in Virginia last night (or should I say this morning), giving me a  snowy Challenger on her first major run since having her motor rebuilt.   She ran very strong and since this trip is going to be several weeks - if not months long -- I can't wait for perfect weather.   Should make Florida by Wed evening or so (not in as much of a hurry now).   Will stay a few weeks, warm the bones and then slowly head west.  Will post more later if anything interesting happens (or I need help along the way :)

Peace

Doug, I am so sorry about the loss of your wife.  :angelwings:   My son lives in SC and is into Mopars. He has a bunch of Mopar buddies down there. If you would like to met up with him let me know. And I will give him a call. His one friend has a great collection of old Mopars.  :2thumbs:   I wish I would have known you were coming thru PA . We had a beat the winter blues lunch on sat .

If you are headed to Florida you have to see the Keys, especially Key West and the southern most point of the US where you can wave to our Cuban neighbors! I've been planning a trip to that area but haven't pulled it off yet but I have a buddy who moved to Miami so it will probably be in my near future.

Keep us updated!
