Wiper arm assembly picture?
« on: January 31, 2013 - 01:19:14 AM »
My manuals show the wiper motor and gear assembly but not how the driver side wiper arm is supposed to attach...  The big knob is obvious, but the second arm is the puzzle and maybe I'm missing a piece.

If anyone could take a picture or two of the arm setup I'd really be greatful.

Thank you

Working on my wipers is on my list of things to do, so I could use some instructions too.

The second arm should attach to the small post on the pivot ass'y. There's suppose to be a special clip to keep the small arm on but my pics don't show it

I think maybe my pivot ass'y is on backwards, as the small post is outboard on the side of the fender (not on the inside toward the engine) so the second arm cannot reach it.

Is that the case?  the small post should be on the inboard side of the car?

Thank you

Alan, I just came in from the garage and YES the small post is inboard on my car (NOT towards the fender).

Got it.  Makes sense to me...  now I get to learn how to take all this apart to fix it...  :)

Thank you for your help!
