Search and Restore's 1974 Challenger
« on: February 02, 2013 - 02:16:54 PM »
Did anyone catch this on Spike this morning?  Car ended up pretty nice.  I'm not a fan of the striping they did, but the chin spoiler and trunk spoiler was pretty cool custom work.

They usually rerun it on Sundays and after a while I think make them available online.

The car has the first T56 Magnum E-Body cross member that I make.  I was like a proud papa seeing my stuff on TV.  Needless to say its been a great day!

Cool, I don't remember them mentioning what cross member they used.  Were you actually on the show?

I like the charcoal on the hood, but I don't like the side stripe.  Overall I thought it was a really nice car.

Nice choice on the rims!!!  They look familiar!   ;D

I sent the cross member to Gray Fredericks from American Powertrain.  He was on the show for about 8 seconds! Lol.

Guys I was on the build and was on the second week of the build and it was an awsum build but it's not hard to flush mount the windows u just have to put a piece of 1/4 in. Round stock around the window opening and glue it in and use a flush mount rubber trim around it that's how we did it on TY's car ?
Just a redneck that loves to make em fast & shinny !

Phil, do you have any build pictures you could share?
Maybe a build thread?

:clueless: Me Phil or another Phil?  I don't have any pics, or at least on my computer now as it died in the summer.  I can try looking around.  If I remember correctly I think there was a video floating around...  :dunno:

Ooops, I just saw, there's another Phil...  :roflsmiley:  It's not all about me!!!!  :grinno:

Anyhow, here's another video, doesn't show the whole build but 17 minutes of it.  It does show a bit towards the end of the tranny set up but you don't really see the cross member.

Same video as above.
