New Tow Car

It's been coming for a few weeks but it was paid for today so it's now officially mine.

It's coming from Missouri and I should take delivery of it converted and complied some time in June.

It's a new Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 Laramie Mega Cab with Cummins 6.7 litre turbo diesel and 6 speed manual.

Wasn't sure if you blokes would be very interested since they'd be pretty common over there.
They are around in Australia but not too common.
You can't buy them at a dealership here so any that are imported need to be converted to RHD and modified to Australian specification.
I live in a town of 200,000 people and there'd be 3 or 4 here including the 2000 model I already have.
In a lot of ways the Ram/Ftruck/Silverado is not that practical over here due to there sheer size.
Most people who want something along these lines buy a Toyota Landcruiser or a Nissan Patrol(do you have them over there??) which are a much more robust and capable 4WD than the US offerings.
However,you can't beat the room,comfort,towing capacity and horsepower of the US vehicles.

Congrats. 6spd are not that common over here to the better od ratios of the automatic which is why the tow capacity is higher. With the 6 sod auto. Is there a dealer network over there for warranty concerns?

6 speed diesel and it has the ram box

I have only seen one other diesel with a ram box here in Colorado

There was abt 1500  Ram2500s available of which approx. 140 were manuals.
I'm told the Australian Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep network will honour any warranty issues but I'm not holding my breath.
When I went shopping I desirably wanted a 2500 4x4 twin cab with diesel and 6sp manual and short bed.
Didn't want the base vynil seats and I preferred the 6 seat arrangement.
This one fit the bill the best.Getting a Laramie megacab with all the extras it's got was a bonus to me.
Price was good since I believe they are now a runout model?
The colour is even what would have been my first choice.
From Missouri it goes to LA to have a canopy fitted to the bed and then shipped to Australia via the Phillipines.

Awesome. I went from a 98 quad with a V-10 but ordered new an 07 3500 srw Mega 4X4 with the 6.7 auto and 4:10's. You will be very impressed how much better it drives and tows than your old rig. Enjoy!

Got a mate who tows with an older silverado dually with 454 and he reckons the duallys are so very stable to tow with.

I wish I could buy one of the new Dodges with the diesel,thats a sweet looking tow rig.
I have been trying to come up with the cash to purchase this one.
