Big snowstorm headin my way!
« on: February 07, 2013 - 08:27:49 PM »
I`m expecting around 2 feet of snow this weekend the wet heavy variety too my favorite  :banghead: I am not sure what I should do with my Cuda do I keep it in the portable shelter and go out there periodically and knock the snow off the roof to prevent a collapse of heavy snow onto my car? It`s made it through a few winters but this one will be a real test I think. Or should I just take it out and park it in the yard and let the snowstorm have at it and put it back in the tent when everything melts away enough for me to drive it back in there?  :dunno:

Already tried that route and struckout!  :(  I`m leanin towards keeping it in the shelter and going out everyhour or so to knock the snow off the roof, gonna be a long night for me I think!

Spray the roof of the shelter with Pam. The snow will slide right off.  :roflsmiley:  Good luck
with the storm and be careful. We're only supposed to get 2-4 inches. You guys have all the luck
If I cant fix it, it's broke

Just saw a weather map that showed our part of New Hampshire getting between 30" and 44".  I'll believe that when I see it.

I remember the last big snow storm that turned out to be a lot of empty bluster.

Good luck with the car.  I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Well I survived! I ended up putting the Cuda over at my mothers garage, even though my portable shelter suffered no damage. I kept clearing the snow off untill 11 p.m. then hoped for the best the rest of the night. I didn`t want my car in there if my luck ran out. Then we lost power at 12:15 but it came back on 2 minutes later, a very harrowing experience indeed! I never want to live through that again I almost missed the end of my t.v show!  I did spend about 5 hours shoveling everything out and I ache everywhere so it wasn`t all peaches and cream for me!

My brother on the other hand lives a couple towns away he has no electricity which also means no heat, no kitchen stove and no water since he uses a well. He`s got 1 shot to take a crap after that the water in the toilet tank is gone and it wont refill! I think he`s lookin at 2 or 3 days before power is restored. Plus as if that werent enough his truck wont start the battery is brand new, all the electrical works just wont turn over starter solenoid maybe.  :dunno: So you know I really had to rub it in with me and my 2 minute power outage!  :smilielol: I told him to come by tomorrow and see how the other half lives!
