    Where can you install speakers in a challenger conv?
    Looking at installing a stereo system with 3.5" speakers on the center dash , but am stumped to where to install them in back.  Going to put a sub in trunk.
    Not looking to cut any panels.

    I was considering installing one of those "NOS BOTTLE LOOKALIKE SUB" in the trunk ... and I still do...

    Might sound like a stupid solution, but I think I would try to install those speakers under the back seat. Of course, the material of the seat would be a barrier for the sound, but it would be hidden without cutting panels. May not work, but I would give it a try.

    I put most of my system in the trunk of the cuda but not really happy with it . . . . .

    After doing lots of research I have come to the conclusion that there is no good place to mount speakers in the rear.
    I am looking into installing box speakers that mount under the front seats and maybe cut ones into the kick panels.
    Can also install 2-  3.5 speakers in center dash  and sub in trunk.

    A friend of mine had two large speakers under the seats but didn't have them tied down so they would slide out on every once in a while.   I really like the sound improvement of my center speaker and kick panels which I contrasted it with.  Unfortunately the sliding out from under the seat turned me off although I guess you could secure them with plastic tie downs.  My problem is my kids don't like my music load and I do.  Which means I need more speakers closer to me and the trunk bass speaker is a no go as long as they demand to ride with me when I drive the vert.

    I actually have the back speakers sitting on the rear seat with enough wire to move them into the trunk when necessary at shows and if I have passengers.

    I dont even have a system in NIKKI, but I do in the BIG GIRL. Same dielemma... so I put the amps and the sub in the trunk and made boxes that just take up the back seat floor space. Nobody ever sits there anyway, and there easy to remove if the situation arises.  I realize this is not optimum either. But you gotta be nuts to go cuttin up vert only panels.

    I like the undercover speakers but how do you secure them under the seats.  I saw nothing on them to tie them down with or screw them into the floor.  Anyone using those speakers they look like they would do the job but I don't want the sliding around.

    Nice idea.  Never would have thought of that.  I suppose if you bought a large square and glued to the carpet/speaker back.  There isn't alot of room under the seats especially with the six way seat so it wouldn't have much room to move upward...  I like that idea.  I could see that being done in my car.  I'd appreciate others ideas to choices since I'd really like to have some good tunes in the vert.

    I got an old set of kick panels and covered in masking tape, layered resin and fiberglass cloth.  Then peel the cast off, make some speaker rings, hold where you want with hot glue and dowel rods.  Then wrap in fleece and staple it down.  Proceed to fiberglass over the fleece.  Sand, bondo, paint.  A couple screws to remove, and replace with the original kick panels.

    You dont need speakers in the back, focus the sound stage up front, like a concert.

    I'm running the upgraded little dash speakers but I had to open the under dash fram up for the larger magnets.
    I did the mod with the dash out of the car, I'm not sure you could do it with the dash installed.

    I also sacrificed a set of kick panels for some extra volume and a small sub in the trunk.

    It works ok between the wind noise and the exhaust sometimes it's useless extra noice.
