I got my machined block back today with all the goodies to make the 470. Since the 400 block is identical size to the 383 I am going to badge my car out as a base Challenger with 383-4 engine. I need correct orange that is high temp and good quality. preferably in a spray can as I have no tools at my disposal to paint the engine with a gun. thanks!

I used the Mopar Street Hemi orange on my 70 383, got it from Summit, matches original paint & has held up well, not glossy, but like original. Takes about 4 to 5 cans to do the complete engine.

Clean it real well and use a high temp primer on the bare metal, the paint will last longer.   :2cents:

Year One also may have it.
72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"
