    Tear   down  on    727     big  block ,  found  fibre spacer  all  torn up  that  live  between oil pump extension/housing  and  front drum  ..also   tore   into  metal shaft pretty bad  on extension  housing,   what  happenned  ??? wrong  part    or   parts  missing  that  caused   this???? :working: ,  sorry   no  pics  shop  is 10   miles  away  and   closed  today  any  input  would  be   great    THANKS  Mark

    Is this a fresh rebuild gone bad? If so, it sounds like it had  no end play when assembled.
