Well first off I would like to thanks everyone on this site for all there help over the years about all the cars I was interested in. I HUGE thank you goes out to TorOrange and CODY. TorOrange (hov) has been sending me leads on cars for well over a year and even though I found this one one my own I wouldnt have been as crafty or know what to look for it if wasnt for him so thanks. Also Thank you to CODY who took multiple phone calls from me about cars. He was also one of the reasons I got this car. He was able to go lay eyes on the car for me and look it over as it was closer to him than me. I really appreciate you helping me out with all your knowledge.
I found this 71 BS Cuda 340 car, has fender tag. The last owner had a pile of money into this car along with lots of parts. just at a glance the parts list is a new trans, new red interior, K member and whole front end powder coated, rebuilt steering column, glass, all the weather stripping, chrome and gaskets along with many other parts. This car is a project but I feel I got it for a very good price and am far ahead for what I payed.
The seller has a very nice garage with some cool cars in there so we hung around there awhile after we loaded the trailer * note we put more straps on than the picture and framed in the wheels so they couldn't move. There is still lots to do but now is the fun part of putting the car back together. Once I get closer to finishing it I will put the black billboard callouts on the side as it came with them, should look sharp with a red interior!!
After we loaded it up we headed back to Canada and everything was good, the American boarder agent were great , took his belt and gun off to not scratch the paint, the Canadian side was not as nice. the agent would not let us out there and instead of opening the back door she tried to squeeze between the car and side of the trailer, long story short she scratched my paint and chipped the corner of the trunk inspecting the car
As of right now I'm sending in a quote and they will do a investigation into it as i think the agent admitted it happened, so hopefully they will cover the repair cost. I was heart broken and it took me a few days to even go out in the garage and look at the car again. that's why my shop is a mess in the pictures as I haven't had a chance to put everything away.
Besides that little mishap the car is great, it can and will be fixed and the project will be amazing once done. Here are a few pictures to wet the lips until I can get better one. I am a very lucky man as this was my 30th birthday present from my loving wife and new son, who was only two weeks old when my wife told me to take off and go get the car.
