BB 727 600HP build.
« on: February 21, 2013 - 07:42:01 AM »
Hi, (I guess this question is for tactransman) but anyway I'm building a 727 to put behind my BB Mopar. The engine will make around 600 to 650 HP. I'm just after advice in what components and brand of components I will need to do this trans. This car will be used on the street and the strip. I will be using a PTC converter .
I know I will need a bolt in sprag, billet rear servo , Alto red clutches and Kolene steels, HD Intermediate band strut.
Would the 3 pinion planetary be OK as well as Kevlar lined bands.
Should I use a Transgo TF-2 or the SK TF SC and mods outlined in tactransmans thread?
Cheers

What vendor did you use to purchase all your parts?  Looking at doing a rebuild myself and would like to know where others get there parts, and who has the best deals on clutches, steels, bands and sprags or does a vendor have complete kits available.
