The "other" car you miss most you let go
« on: February 23, 2013 - 10:19:48 PM »
Not talking Mopars. Other makes.

What other make and model car you had once you wished you still had.

Mine was a 74' International Scout II.
I miss the low end torque it had. The removable top.
Good times in that ol' heap.

A big ol' clunky 4x4 that was fun to go venturing into the backwoods.

I miss my 1979 Mazda RX-7.  Stick shift, peppy engine.  It was a car that you did not get in.  You put it on.

I regret selling it.  It was a nice beater, through-around car.

Miss my 78 Toyota Corolla.  That was a fun car.  Pretty peppy with the 5 speed.

Course, I had a 1980 Toyota Cellica that was the worst car I ever owned.  But that's probably the topic of another thread.

My 1995 ACR Neon. It blew away all the damnable rice burners in the neighborhood!  I traded it for a Grandcaravan.

I sold my BB Buick 455/4 speed, 9" disc brake Ford rear end to fund the engine build and new Dana for the Challenger. It was a pretty car.  :sadwavey:  I miss the hand made air cleaner I built. I sure spent a lot of time building every part of this car.

`70 road runner 383 4 spd, air grabber, red w/ black bench interior.Bought it for $400 needing a lot of work but didn`t have the money or skills to restore it and parents wanted the "junk" out of the driveway.Hated to se it go and not finish it whic is why I would not give up on my Barracuda and was determined to restore it.I now have a replacement in FC7 that`s awaiting resto-as usual time and mostly money are in needed but ti will get done someday.

I drove a 69 camaro for a few years while the hardtop sat in my mothers garage with engine issues.  Not sure I miss it that much but I certainly don't miss any of the others . . . .  :clueless:

The two most recent cars were a 1968 RS/SS Camaro w/ 468 BBC. The other is an Everett Morrison Cobra Kit car, black w/ pewter stripes, 509 all aluminum BBC, C4 suspennsion, etc.  It was a real blast to drive.

I have had 3 vehicles that I miss , & not in a good way , I had 2 chev trucks & a VW rabbit , I learned a long time ago fuel is easier to install than parts are , I really miss being broke & having to work on them all the time !
