I am not sure they make that show anymore but I used to watch it every week. They had a really nice Superbird when I was there.

As for price I think this comes down to what you want out of your mopar, convertibles do zero for me so this would be overpriced in my mind. He does take trades all the time!

It seems too high on the surface, but on the other hand, how many cars have sold for more that aren't the eye candy this thing is, as well as no excuses car/options/docs/numbers. 129k could be very fair to a guy with deep pockets who wants a piece of conversation and jewelry for his garage. I know it isn't 5 years ago, but I bet there is a pile of people that have 120k or more into a car that would trade in a heartbeat for this.

Yes, it's worth it.

If it is indeed one of the 11 Challenger 'verts cars in 1971 w/the Shaker AND it's a four-speed AND it's an awesome color combo, then yes.

Legendary doesn't mess around and their restorations can easily go into the six figures.

This one is done, mint, rare, and desirable.

Where are the other 10 and in what condition and what options? Seen a couple EL5 ones and sorry, that color is a bit on the ugly side. At least compared to this plum/white one.

I personally would try to find a '71 'Cuda 'vert factory shaker four-speed car.

But in the same condition...I would think that's probably around $150-175k.

Superbird, would get you maybe $200k for a #3 car. It'd be $300k for a #1 440-powered Superbird automatic. $350k for a four-speed.

$500k for a Hemi four-speed #1 superbird.

Just sayin.

I think Alan restored this one, it sure is a beautiful car. I think its worth it for sure considering the rarity and color combo.

Yes I restored the car.

As you all may know I out-source body and paint work. Legendary Motor Car was actually the company of choice that laid out the flawless FC7 paint on this one. This car is currently on consignment at LMC, they do not own it.

Yes it is one of the "11" shaker convertibles being a US car originally. Keep in mind that number "11" doesn't count CDN cars....There's at least 4 more known N96 71 Challenger convertibles in Canada including another FC7 one with black stripes/interior.

Okay, that column automatic 'bird, seems like a good deal (don't know if it's in #1 condition, but looks like it may). I guess I'd be thinking Daytona. A #1 Daytona Hemi four-speed w/docs, I'd say could be close to $500k.

That car is not for us guys, unless you have grey poopon as your mustard. You can get a car like that from a non 'celeb' alot cheaper. He has had many naysayers against his 'knowledgable' restorations as he makes alot of mistakes. People who claim to be the best can charge that, but many would argue he isn't in that class-

That's my point as well. Not gonna find one.

But personally bias from myself, I'm not a huge fan of the 1971 Challenger (taillights, grille...not my cup of tea). Gimme a 1970 440 R/T 'vert four-speed for maybe same money any day. Again, I can put a Shaker on it if I had to have one (what I'm doing w/my lowly 318 '70).
