I will be updating and outlining this install as information becomes available. The Nag1 transmission is reasonably compact for a 5spd overdrive and extremely tough. Much smaller than the truck RFE transmission. This is not only a option for a Gen3 hemi but also small block guy too. The beauty of it is it has a 3.59 first gear and a OD. Hers the math compared to a Torqueflite.

545RFE* 3.00 1.67/1.50 1.00 0.75 0.67
NAG1 3.59 2.19 1.41 1.00 0.83
Torqueflite 2.77 or 2.45 1.55 1.00

3.59Nag1/2.45Torqueflite x 3.23 rear gear = Equivalent of a 4.72 first gear in a torqueflite car   .83x3.23=2.68

3.59Nag1/2.45Torqueflite x 2.76 rear gear = Equivalent of a 4.04 first gear in a torqueflite car    .83x2,76=2.29

Remember the Nag1 is in 4300lb cars with 500hp engines


In a drag pack car we will be using a ratchet shifter.
Typically on from an old LX, say 2005 Magnum etc…..salvage yard find, inexpensive.

In our test Turbo Jeep, on the dash, shows that it is in drive etc., but we don’t have the auto-stick hooked up where it will show 1,2,3,4,5 on the dash.

I am sure there will be more options as we develop this product. I will be looking into incorporating LX style shifter into a factory console.

Pretty simple
Inputs needed:
* TPS
* Wheel speed / drive shaft speed
* Shifter if available
* MAP for tuning the street driving
* Brake light for unlocking the converter when the brakes are hit.

Dave, do you have any width measurements for the NAG1?  Can you compare that with the size of a 518?  Trying to find out if that can fit in an e body without any cutting.

Ok this is moving forward. We are now rewiring the shop 2006 Magnum to act like a hot rod standalone test vehicle. Once done we will develope all the street programing for the street rods.  Getting real close gentlemen.

Dave, what are you using to connect the NAG1 to say, an 8 3/4 rear?  I am understanding that the drveshaft bolts on to the tail of the trans, so some sort of slip joint is needed?
